Like many golfers, Todd Yoshitake's passion for golf was seeded at a young age. There was a driving range in his neighborhood where the pros gave free lessons to all the kids. His local course, Montebello Golf Course, allowed juniors to play all day for $.50. "We all lived at the course during the summer," shares Todd. Those simple roots in the game of golf grew and led Todd to the Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, California. He was attracted to Riviera because of its innovative thinking. Todd explains, "Mr. Noboru Watanabe, the owner, has a goal to create the best club in the world. The management team is constantly challenged to think outside of the box. I feel like I have been preparing for this job my whole life." In his role at Riviera Country Club, Todd wears many hats. He is involved in the tour events, member events, construction projects on the course and he interacts daily with Club members and their guests. Todd's favorite thing about the Riviera Country Club, though, is the course, which he describes as a "timeless masterpiece". When asked about the tournament, Todd reflects, "We are very happy to be associated with the Northern Trust Open. Every detail of the event is being upgraded. Our goals are the same; we both want it to be the best event on the PGA TOUR."
