The Northern Trust Open is proud to introduce the TICKETS Fore CHARITY™ program. This program is designed to generate revenue for local charities where PGA TOUR events are held.

The Northern Trust Open is providing local 501 (c)(3) organizations with the opportunity to sell tournament tickets, with 100% of the net proceeds from the ticket sales going to charity. Through this program, 80% of the proceeds benefit the charity selling the tickets, with the remaining 20% donated to the L.A. Junior Chamber of Commerce Charity Foundation.

Bonus Pool
We are excited to announce that Northern Trust is offering a TICKETS Fore CHARITY Bonus Pool to any (1) one charity that sells the most tickets within a designated timeline. Details of the Bonus Pool are listed below:

The first opportunity - Fore the First
Match up to $10,000 for sales between present date to November 18 based on the overall total ticket sales.

The second opportunity - Fore the Holidays
Match up to $10,000 for sales between November 19 to January 6 based on the overall total ticket sales.

The final opportunity - Fore the Champion
Northern Trust will make contributions to the five (5) charities who sell the largest dollar amounts of tickets from the program’s inception through February 6, 2012.

January 6, 2012 Second Bonus Pool $10,000
February 6, 2012 Final Bonus Pool $15,000

Second Place Final $6,000
Third Place Final $4,000
Fourth Place Final $3,000

Other Tips for Marketing the Program
These following best practices were compiled from other PGA TOUR events that have utilized the TICKETS Fore CHARITY program. These tips may help aid you in raising the most money possible throughout the program, while also helping you reach your yearly fundraising goals.

    1. Not just for golf fans: Many non-traditional golf fans will love the opportunity to walk the exclusive and beautiful Riviera Country Club, so make sure you reach out as widely as possible.
    2. Facebook groups: Many adults are now on this social networking site. You can set up a fundraising event with your link and ticket information placed inside. This tool allows you to invite as many people as you can find.
    3. LinkedIn event: This popular business networking site can help you set up a meet & greet events at the Northern Trust Open. You can also reach out to your business contacts to purchase tickets through your organization.
    4. E-mail blasts: Send e-mail blasts frequently. It has been proven that repetition works. Keep e-mail blasting program information to your contacts often.
    5. Speak to members of your board: They have hundreds of contacts and they may be able to provide you with more sales. Use the Power of 10 - if each person on your board sells 10 tickets, the possibilities are endless.
    6. Corporate contacts: Remember to contact those corporations who may want to purchase tickets in bulk to use with their employees or clients. Use your corporate contact lists.
    7. TICKETS Fore CHARITY booth or station: Set up a TICKETS Fore CHARITY booth or station at your upcoming fundraiser or gala.
    8. Holiday Gifts: Tis the season! Need an idea for a stocking stuffer, why not provide them with a ticket to the Northern Trust Open. A great way to donate to charity and receive something in return. A memorable experience for all. Happy Holidays.
