TICKETS Fore CHARITY Fact Sheet
About the Los Angeles Junior Chamber
of Commerce (LAJCC)
The TICKETS Fore CHARITY program is designed to generate revenue for
local charities. The Northern Trust Open is providing non-profit organizations
with the opportunity to sell tournament tickets to benefit their individual
organization. 100% of the net proceeds from the ticket sales is donated
to charity. 80% benefits the organization selling the ticket and the remaining
20% benefits the Los Angeles Junior Chamber of Commerce Charity Foundation.
This is an incredible opportunity to raise a great deal of funds for
your organization. Best of all, there are absolutely NO COSTS OR MINIMUMS
FOR YOUR ORGANIZATION.
Ticket Prices
Tickets sold through this program are valid for purchase from the present
time until February 11, 2011.
- $30 Daily Tournament Round Ticket
- $80 Weekly ticket book
This is the total cost of the ticket purchased; tickets purchased from
other channels result in additional costs such as printing fees, convenience
fees and other payments. Parking at the tournament is also free. These
are two big selling points to your organization.
Promotion
Leading up to the Northern Trust Open, ideas for promotions and selling
will be provided as best practices. Your organization will receive pre-approved
personalized marketing collateral to pass out. We request that you do
not create additional marketing collateral. Some recommended promotion
strategies include; Web site promotion, mailings and e-mail newsletters.
You can utilize your individual contacts and your corporate contacts as
well.
This program is a great way to create a sense of value for your donors
by providing something in return for their donation.
Ordering
We will have a landing page at northerntrustopen.com where people can
view information on the TICKETS Fore CHARITY program and view local participants.
Each participating non-profit will handle the sale of the tickets themselves.
Your organization will report ticket sales to us on specified dates by
turning in the report that will be provided to you. Also on those dates,
please mail or deliver a check for 20% of the amount collected to the
LA Junior Chamber of Commerce Charity Foundation - check should be payable
to "LAJCC." After we confirm LAJCC has received its portion from you,
we will distribute tickets to you to fulfill the orders you took.
Updates
Every one or two weeks the tournament office will send each organization
an e-mail update, along with this update will be a scorecard to find out
how many tickets are being sold by the other organizations. In this update
we will also have ideas on how you can sell more tickets to generate more
revenue for your organization.
Web site
This Web site will help your organization sell more tickets, with links
for selling ideas, example of top sellers, all the marketing materials
your nonprofit will need and tournament information.

TICKETS Fore CHARITY Fact Sheet
The PGA TOUR has donated over $1.4 billion to charity over the last eighty
years. Taking the lead of the PGA TOUR, the Northern Trust Open is engaging
the community through a new initiative called TICKETS Fore CHARITY.
100% of the net proceeds from the program benefit local charities with
80% of the revenue going to the charity that sells the ticket to the tournament
and 20% going to the LA Junior Chamber of Commerce Charity Foundation.
In the augural year at the Northern Trust Open, the TICKETS Fore CHARITY
program raised $131,730 for charity with total ticket sales reaching $91,360.
Northern Trust graciously donated $40,370 toward the Bonus Pool in 2010.
Top Total Sales in for the 2010 NTO:
- American Golf Foundation: $32,200
- The First Tee of Pasadena: $17,250
- PS: I Love You Foundation: $13,115
